The difference and introduction of water cooling and air cooling for diesel generator
Diesel generators play a positive role in ensuring the smooth operation of enterprises' daily production and operation. However, our understanding of diesel generators is often limited to power generation. For example, the terms of air cooling and water cooling are relatively unfamiliar.
Air cooling is mainly used as the cooling medium of the wind to cool the diesel generator, and water cooling is used as the medium to prevent connection, cooling and heat dissipation. The functions of both of them are to send out the heat. In the air, the diesel generator has a cooling effect, but its effect is higher than that of the water. So we should try our best to consider the choice of these two aspects, after all, who can not be used in the case of boiling point reduction, must add some other things to be able to better adapt to, then the two it is basically the same.
The biggest advantage of air cooling is that the structure is very simple, the operation is also very simple and convenient, the air will be less, can effectively avoid the incidence of failure and improve the use efficiency of equipment. However, there are some bad places, that is, its compound may not be too high, because the diesel generator it is mainly water cooling system, so even if the air cooling is better, there is no water cooling effect, high efficiency. The cylinder body and cylinder liner of the air cooled generator are welded together as a whole without clearance.
The interior is the working area where the piston slides, and the exterior is evenly and orderly covered with heat sinks, which are generally made of die-casting data with high thermal conductivity. The working heat of the piston team is directly transmitted from the cylinder block and taken away by the flowing air between the heat sinks. This method is generally used for two-stroke engines; A complex cooling water channel (dry liner) is cast in the cylinder body of the water-cooled starter, or a cooling water channel (wet liner) is formed with the cylinder liner. The piston works in the cylinder liner, and the heat is transferred to the cooling water in the water channel through the cylinder liner for cooling. This method is commonly used in four - stroke generators.
The air-cooled diesel generator is generally small power, not high calorific value, air-cooled can be; High - power diesel generator should be cooled by water because of high heat. Air cooled diesel generator has high thermal efficiency and economy. Because the air-cooled diesel generator transmits less heat to the air, its cooling air volume is only about 2/3 of that of a water-cooled diesel engine. This is because the air-cooled diesel engine in the gas temperature must be the case, the higher the cylinder wall temperature the diesel engine emits less heat into the air, the higher the thermal efficiency, the lower the fuel consumption, the better the economy. Generally, the cylinder wall temperature of air-cooled diesel engine is tens of degrees higher than that of water-cooled diesel engine, so its thermal efficiency is higher than that of water-cooled diesel engine. The air-cooled diesel generator has a long service life, and the air-cooled diesel engine avoids acid corrosion and wear to the maximum limit due to the high temperature of the cylinder wall, and reduces the operation time of the diesel engine below the dew point.
Therefore, the corrosion, cavitation and rust of the parts of the air-cooled diesel engine are small, and the drawbacks of scale accumulation will not occur in the cylinder head and radiator, and its service life is long. It can be seen that the air-cooled diesel engine has good mobility and a short heating time, which relives the burden of increasing the release of cooling water from cooling water, and also does not have to worry about the cylinder block, cylinder head, radiator and other damage accidents caused by freezing and cracking. Therefore, the use of air cooling has high reliability, less failure, long life, convenient protection and maintenance.
