How to make the diesel generator battery charge normally
The purpose of normal charging of the battery is to restore the capacity of the lead battery in time, so as not to damage the battery due to long-term discharge. Normal charging can be used by two-stage constant current charging method, constant current before constant voltage charging method (or current limiting constant voltage charging method) and fast charging method.
When the two-stage constant current charging method is adopted, the first stage is charged with 10h rate current until the single cell battery voltage reaches 2.4V, which generally lasts for 5-6h. The second stage is charged with 20h rate current until the end of charging. This stage generally lasts about 8-10h.
After activating the battery, the charging under the following circumstances is called normal charging. When the battery has been discharged (should be carried out within 24 hours).
Partial discharge or small current gap discharge, although the discharge capacity is not up to half of the rated capacity, but the discharge time after more than a week. The battery does not discharge within a month. The end of the charge is marked by the following aspects. Positive and negative plates bubble violently. Electrolyte density reaches the specified value: fixed battery rises to 1.200-1.220kg/L, mobile battery rises to 1.280-1.30kg/L, and does not rise.
The single cell voltage of the battery reaches 2.7-2.8V and does not rise. The positive plate of the paste plate becomes brownish red, and the negative plate becomes dark gray. In the charging process, pay attention to the following aspects. Check the liquid level before normal charging. If it is found that the liquid level is lower than the lower limit of the specified height, add pure water to the specified height.
Batteries of the same model, the same degree of discharge and the same degree of old and new should be connected in series to charge. During the charging process, the terminal voltage, current, electrolyte density and temperature of the marked battery should be measured regularly, and the gas emergence of each battery should be observed. Before the end of each stage and the end of charging, general testing should be carried out for the whole battery group, so as to discover the problem battery in time and avoid overcharging the battery
